Newton First Assembly of God

WHAT TO EXPECT

Newton First Assembly is a multi-generational gathering of people who love Jesus. We have young adults and young couples who are ready to start or are starting families. Many middle-aged families with children and grandparents also gather with us. Here at NFA, we value our senior adults and enjoy their mentoring and guidance as part of our church family.

On a typical Sunday, we have Sunday School where we intentionally learn about our life in Jesus. We want all ages to begin or continue in their walk and relationship with Jesus, and this happens in an informal setting, studying God’s Word. Our worship gathering is one of anointed worship and anointed messages from our pastor. In these services, we have contemporary worship music, complete with a band and worship leaders, followed by a time of corporate prayer where we worship God and pray for our needs.

Our pastor and those who share, communicate an anointed message from God’s Word. Everything that we do in this service leads to the sharing of God’s Word to us. We want to hear from God each time that we gather together.

Our dress is casual, and our worship service on Sunday morning usually lasts an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, starting at 10:15 am. We provide childcare and children’s church during our Sunday morning worship service, including nursery thru 6th grade. All of our children’s workers are required to pass a background check so that we may provide a safe and secure environment for the children.

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith by developing relationships.

Newton First Assembly of God is a community of believers who come together to worship, serve and learn. We are committed to nurturing this environment of friends and sharing. We are devoted to engaging, serving, and impacting one another, believing that Jesus Christ has given us the example of service and that we have the responsibility to follow Him.

“Churches can complicate and really confuse what Jesus instructed us as His church to do. Newton First Assembly believes that our mission is a simple, uncomplicated mission. We believe in obeying Jesus’ command and commission. As Jesus was leaving the earth so that His Holy Spirit may come, he gave us our commission, found in Matthew 28:19–20, that we are to make disciples, or ‘followers of Christ.’ At Newton First Assembly of God, we simply want to obey Jesus; to Love God, Love People and Live It.”
